EO Entrepreneur of the Year, James Layfield, and former Head of Service Development at Virgin Atlantic, Steve Pette, have teamed up to create the ideal environment for growing businesses. Introduced whilst at Virgin, after branching out on their own the duo’s frustration at the government’s lack of support for SMEs, coupled with their passion for entrepreneurship, led to the creation of Central Working. Their aim? To boost the UK economy by helping 10,000 SMEs grow over the next 10 years.

We’ve taken the best bits of the coffee culture and added all the things you really need: printing and plugs, storage and stationery, 3 bespoke meeting rooms and, most importantly, collaboration with smart, passionate business people. Blending an innovative workspace with a street facing coffee bar, Central provides a welcoming and collaborative place to meet, eat and work, right on the high street.
The Central Working Marketplace serves only the most aromatic Mozzo coffee, smoothest Lahloo tea and freshest Genuine Dining Company sandwiches. What’s more, the faces behind Mozzo, Lahloo and Genuine Dining Company are all members of Central Working; we’re always on the look out to help grow our members’ businesses.

Love Room - seats 4 - from £35 per hour
Serious Room - seats 6 - from £40 per hour
Old Skool Room - seats 8 - from £45 per hour
The event space...
The Central Working event space can be booked from 7am - 10am and from 6pm onwards. Events can also be held across the weekend. The event space has played host to a variety of events ranging from EP launch nights, private dining, intimate workshops and large seminars.
